Honeybee

 Welcome back Honeybee familia!

As we wrap up the first month of school, we want to share what a privilege it has been to watch your little ones begin their Montessori journey! Their curiosity, joy, and eagerness to explore have been truly inspiring to us.

Dr. Maria Montessori once said, "The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind." Your children have shown us just how true this is, with each day bringing new moments of discovery and growth. Their enthusiasm and progress remind us of the incredible potential each child holds. This year will be a great one!

As a kind reminder, please remember to label all personal belongings with your child's FIRST and LAST name. This is a Creō and a AZDHS requirement! This includes bedding, clothing, all food containers and bottles, and lunch/diaper bags.

Thank you for your continued support for our classroom! We look forward to more wonderful experiences together as the year unfolds.

Please reach out to Susan@creoschool.org or Nido@creoschool.org for any questions or comments.

With love,

The Honeybee Team 💌

Butterfly

We have been off to a great start this semester with new faces and returning smiles that are ready to get back into routine. Thank you all that came to our first community meeting of the year to share some important information. I want to just put it out there once more that it is my 10th year here at Creo but I am still always learning from you and from your kids. Don’t hesitate to ask me questions - and you’ll find that I, too, will be asking questions every once in a while.

We are ready to start on our charity auction projects as the date is fast approaching! This year we will be making “Tire See Saw”. The link is just an example of what these may look like, but that is the idea! Our toddlers will be helping in putting these projects together and helping paint them. For this event, we also put together a basket of goodies, as a classroom, so be on the lookout for that email that will be sent out soon.

The naptime slippers have been a huge success as the children are learning to take them out of their basket once they take off their regular shoes. They really came in handy on the day of the fire drill (yikes!) and they had to be woken up and walked out of the classroom immediately. If you have not sent any by now, we will continue to have the children sleep in their regular shoes as it is a DHS requirement to have them sleep with shoes/slippers on. If you do plan on sending some slippers. Remember, they should not have any cartoons/Characters on them and should have some type of sole in any case that would require us to walk outside with them in the heat (like the fire drill) and they would be comfortable walking on pavement/asphalt.

Thank you for such a great start to the year and I look forward to seeing you all at our next community meeting.

Warmly,

Ms. Rebeca & Ms. Daisy

Hummingbird

Welcome back to School Hummingbird Familia!

We are excited to welcome our new and returning Hummingbird families back to school! We are so happy to see all the growth in the children since the spring semester! As soon as school started the children were eager to explore the classroom and become familiar with their friends. Together we shared many hugs, laughs, and some stories about our time with family.

While at school the children learn to share their time respectfully and kindly by using grace and courtesy towards each other. We show the children how their actions can positively impact others and at times how their actions may not be appropriate for certain occasions. It is through those experiences that the children learn how to be more mindful of their actions and we hope to deepen our relationships.

We are focused on understanding the dynamic needs of each student and providing the resources to help satisfy those needs daily. Also, we are always here to support the parents with resources and information that can help you at home with your child. Community meetings are a good way to gather useful information regarding the Montessori approach to certain topics and it’s a great opportunity to share your experiences or bring any questions you may have. We look forward to our first community coming up in the middle of September, more details to come!

In preparation for Peace Day on September 20th, we have been practicing the song “Peace Like a River”, and in Spanish “Paz Como un Rio”. We look forward to singing our songs with the rest of the school and sharing this tradition. Please remember to have your child come in their Peace Day shirts or they can wear a plain white T-shirt.

Thank you for trusting us with your precious children,

Ms. Kat and Ms. Dafne

Squirrel

Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar familias de Squirrels!

Our new school year in the Squirrel toddler environment has started out fantastically! Meeting new friends and seeing familiar faces come back from their Summer Vacations has been filled with lots of happiness and excitement for all. As we settle into our routine the children have gravitated to food preparation and practical life. These are fitting examples of how the children at this age seek to feel part of their community and they are very capable of tasks given the opportunity and size appropriate material.

Connecting with every child has been our focus this month, offering a safe space and helping them through rough drop offs. Even with our returning children we have asked questions and tried to find more ways to connect with them, we love to know what they are excited about their weekend or their favorite activity/toy of the moment at home!

On another note, please remember to label every item from socks to ice packs with FIRST & LAST names. As our toddlers continue to practice their independence, we have belongings with no name, this can ease returning the item to the corresponding owner.

Thank you for your continued support and contributions to our classroom! We have been putting to good use every single item from our Wishlist!
