Honeybee

Hello to our lovely Nido family!

We are officially welcoming the Spring season with arms wide open. The breeze is cool, the flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and our baby Honeybees are busy! The warmer weather is a chance for us to soak up some sun as we get our bodies moving. What’s your favorite activity to spend outside? We’ve enjoyed walks around campus, snack picnics on our lawn, and making music in our outdoor environment.

For many of our friends, we are getting ready for a big transition to our Toddler community. Oh how the time has flown! To prepare for this change, we’ve been taking extra steps to ensure a smooth transition. Stand-diapering, kid-friendly lunch containers, and practicing our walking are a few things that we encourage in the classroom. Have you noticed your child getting ready for a new phase in their life? Soon enough we will be reflecting on all the change and growth we’ve witnessed this past school year!

As as a kind reminder, please remember to label all of your child’s belongings with their FIRST and LAST name. This includes clothing, food containers, bedding, and bottles. While this is a state regulation, it also helps us with making sure everything gets sent home to the right person.

We are always anticipating all the happiness that will come to our Honeybee family this Spring.

Our Creō community is always buzzing with life! Come join us for our upcoming events.

Butterfly

Hello, Spring!

We are receiving this wonderful weather with open arms and ready to embrace every bit of it. We are so lucky that we able to enjoy the outdoors with the children throughout most of this change in weather.

We are welcoming this new season with baking cinnamon bread. A few simple ingredients to get the children to pour in all into one mixing bowl, on their own. This allows the children to bake independently as much as possible. We first show the children to pour in all dry ingredients and stir those by themselves. Once those ingredients are well mixed, they pour in the wet ingredients and we help stir those in well.

Thank you all who signed up arraconferences this semester to talk about overall progress in your children, it ‘s always nice to get to keet again and reconnect. If you have not been able to sign up because the dates don’t fit your schedule, reach out to me so we can arrange a conference at another time and date.

Also, a big thank you to participated in our Spring social and helping along with the scavenger hunt. We’ll have to set a few more rules for our older siblings that had the opportunity to find and keep more trinkets than we anticipated. We know for next time!

Thank you for all you do.

Warmly,

Ms. Rebeca and Ms. Yohanna

Hummingbird

Dear Hummingbird families,

We are welcoming springtime with lots of energy and exploration! Food prep is a daily event. We have been practicing slicing cheese, peeling and cutting cucumbers, smashing beans, and baking blueberry muffins. The children have been expressing themselves through art, dancing, and singing. You may find their art in their lunch boxes or in the metal bin on the sign-in table. We have been singing “La Arana Pequenita”, and “Tiburon Bebe” daily.

Thank you all for attending the conferences! I appreciate having the opportunity to share the progress and development your children have shown in the classroom. It is helpful getting to know your families further and about our student’s home life as we all know, it takes a village!

Thank you for all of your support,

Ms. Kat and Ms. Shelby

Squirrel

Happy Springtime Squirrel Families!

March has brought us some rain, new faces in the classroom and new fish friends. The children have been excited for our two yellow guppies. We have been focusing on our practical life material this month. Washing tables, washing windows, and flower arraignment have been a few of the popular materials this month. We are so excited for new friends to start the toileting journey very soon! With lots of patience, love and extra clothes we will support the children to be successful and be aware of their body sensations and functions.

This week we started conferences, and I want to thank you all for meeting with me to talk about your child's development. These meeting are so valuable to me as I get to know more about their life at home and get to understand them even more! Also, to talk about how we can work together to best support them in both environments. I am so lucky to spend time with them and support them in their development. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ♥

The baking recipe we have been working on this month has been blueberry muffins and the occasional banana bread too! I have added the recipe of the blueberry muffin for you to try at home and your toddler can help you.
