Yami is a proud mother to her daughters, Lucrecia and Alana. She has experience as a program affair and office supervisor in a nonprofit for two years. She is also an experienced Director of Student Life with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. She was a Spanish assistant in the United Kingdom for a school year in a Shelly College. Yami was selected as a Sonorense de 100 and assisted seminars in The Washington Center in D.C. After this, she was hired as a coordinator for a summer seminar for 100 Sonoran Talented Women. Additionally, Yami was a contributor to the WRO LEGO Competition in Doha, Qatar and New Delhi, India. Yami is a strong education professional. She holds her Bachelor's degree in Education from Universidad del Valle de Mexico Hermosillo, with an exchange program in Malaga's University in Spain, and a Masters degree in Gesture of Education.
