Ximena Camarena

Falcon Upper Elementary Lead Guide

 

Having attended Montessori schools from ages 3 to 15 years old, Ximena has a strong background in Montessori method and theory. She holds her AMI Elementary Diploma and Master’s degree in Montessori Education from the Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies at Loyola University Maryland.  Before starting a career in Montessori education, Ximena worked as a journalist for 4 years. In California, she was awarded an Emmy for her journalistic enterprises and was an Emmy nominee another time. In Colorado Ximena was recognized for her reporting and storytelling by the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association. 

Ximena is an energetic, joyful, curious and adventurous person. She is in constant pursuit of knowledge and understanding and is always excited to share her love of learning with the children. Reading, writing, working or playing outdoors are some of her favorite activities.  

Ximena is an avid explorer who has visited 15 countries, living in some of them for months at a time. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Her home is in Arizona but she heads to the ocean any chance she gets so she can sail, scuba dive, and enjoy the waves and the wonder of the world around us.
