In man’s case, therefore, we are not dealing with something that develops, but with a fact of formation; something nonexistent has to be produced, starting from nothing.

Wendy Lantis

stem adolescent guide

Ms. Wendy Landis holds a B.S. in Education with a certification in STEM Education from Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus. She has spent over a decade blending her passion for STEM with the hands-on, student-centered approach that defines Montessori education.

A proud wife of 31 years and mother of two ASU graduates—Dani, a Mechanical Engineer, and Tanner, a Robotics Engineer—Ms. Landis raised her family in a home that mirrors the values of Creo Montessori Farm School. Just a 15-minute walk from campus, their home includes goats, chickens, and a thriving garden, all of which have served as daily inspiration for integrating real-world science and engineering into everyday life. For her, STEM is not just a subject—it’s a way of thinking and living.

Ms. Landis taught STEM for eight years in the Kyrene School District and has worked closely with Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. She is a former STEAMimage Fellow and Xplorlabs Fellow, always seeking to grow her expertise and bring authentic learning experiences to her students.

She is passionate about creating environments where students can explore, innovate, and connect their learning to the world around them. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom through a variety of enrichment programs, including: Girls on the Run, Girls Who Code, Robotics Club, Engineering Club, Future Cities, EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service), EV Go-Kart Club, STEM Ambassadors, and Gardening Club.
