Honeybee
Please help me in welcoming two new Honeybees: Etta and Zao. We are so glad you're here!
As we prepare for the Spring semester, we will send home all bedding, clothing, diapers and food. If your child is here for Winter break, please be sure to return all things on Tuesday. For those who will be gone, please bring all belongings back in January. We also recommend keeping a sweater or jacket at school for when we go outside!
Now, as I reflect on this last year, it's with joy that I think of witnessing these sweet babies as they've grown. Babies who were growing in their mama's bellies are now enjoying the ebb and flow of days, here, in our honeybee hive. Babies who were once non-mobile now move about confidently. Babies who once only cried to express their needs now have simple words, "water", "mama", "ball". I always tell families what an honor it is to do this work. To be trusted and chosen to care for your babies is one of my life's greatest gifts. As I transition to a different position in our wonderful school, I can really feel the immense gratitude I have for the years I've spent in the classroom. Thank you honeybee familia for letting me love your babies.
We all wish a happy new year for you and yours.

Happy Holidays!
Can you believe the semester has come and gone so quickly? Sometimes it feels eternal and next thing you know; you’re already making Spring break/summer plans. Thank you to all who made it to our Toddler/Nido Social this month. Sometimes it doesn’t go as planned like the sprinklers turning on or sitting outside in the darkness. It’s always a different experience, to say the least (:
This month we had a strong need for order in the classroom. Some children are in the sensitive stage where everything has a place and it must be in its rightful place or there is disorder within that child. When the floor is wet, children are gravitated to the swiffer or a towel to dry it up. It’s quite wonderful to observe. Play close attention to those characteristics and see if you notice them at home like we notice them at school.
I have an amazon link to great montessori materials if you are hesitant on what to buy your toddler for christmas. We do have some of these materials in the classroom and others are just age appropriate for this level.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3W5031RTAU3BD?ref_=wl_share
Be sure and check it out as Christmas is only days away but there’s still time!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful break and enjoy time with your loved ones.
Warmly,
Ms. Rebeca and Ms. Yohanna

Thank you so much to all those that had the opportunity to attend our class social! It was a great time to get to know one another a little better outside of our class meetings. We are very grateful for everyone's participation and willingness to help. We look forward to our next class social in the Spring and hope to see all attend!
The children have enjoyed running around in this cool weather and seeing the trees change! The leaves have been falling which have given the children a chance to sweep them up. And the small oak trees have left mounds of acorns for daily exploration and entertainment. We have had the opportunity to learn more about oak trees and acorns. Please keep an eye out for them in your children’s pockets at pick up and before doing their laundry!
This month the children had a chance to bake some orange scones in class. They are learning how to knee the dough which is a bit dry and also how to roll them into balls. This is something that has taken practice, but our older toddlers are getting the hang out it.
We hope you enjoy your holiday break and we look forward to seeing you in the new year!!

Happy Holidays Squirrel families!
I cannot believe it is December, our school semester is over and holiday break is here! Thank you all for your continued support and thank you all for the goodies. We hope every single one of you has an amazing time with your loved ones, enjoy all the delicious food that comes with the holidays and cozy up with your toddler these extra days you have them at home.
Our squirrel toddlers were busy this month making orange scones! We took some time to add a special holiday activity and created gingerbread men out of clay to decorate and take home. We also had some time to put together potpourri to simmer (with the help of an adult) and enjoy at home. They all enjoyed smelling the different scents and textures that came with fresh pine, clementines, cinnamon sticks, fresh cranberries, and apple pie spice!
Best Holiday wishes,
Ms. Nadia and Ms. Alexis
