Honeybee
Hello Honeybee Families!
As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we want to take a moment to say thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s early journey. Watching your children grow, learn, explore, and develop throughout the year has truly been such a joy. From first babbles and tiny steps to messy sensory play and sweet cuddles, every milestone has been special to witness.
Thank you as well for all the thoughtful gifts, treats, and kindness shown during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your generosity and support made us feel incredibly appreciated and cared for.
As summer approaches, there are so many wonderful opportunities to support language development and hands-on learning at home. Simple everyday experiences can make such a meaningful impact during infancy and toddlerhood.
Here are a few Montessori inspired summer ideas you can try at home:
Water play using cups, spoons, sponges, or small containers for pouring and scooping
Homemade fruit popsicles to support oral exploration and help soothe gums
Peekaboo games to strengthen object permanence skills
Reading short repetitive books daily to encourage language development
Allowing safe opportunities for independent movement and exploration
Naming everyday objects and routines to build vocabulary naturally
During infancy, many babies also begin experiencing stranger anxiety, which is a completely normal developmental stage. Around this age, babies become more aware of familiar caregivers and may show hesitation, clinginess, or tears around unfamiliar people or new environments. Research shows this is actually a healthy sign of attachment and social emotional development.
A few ways to support your child through stranger anxiety include:
Keeping goodbye routines calm, short, and consistent
Allowing your child time to warm up to new people
Offering reassurance through a calm voice and predictable routines
Avoiding sneaking away during drop off
Practicing social interactions gradually and gently
Most importantly, patience and consistency help children feel secure and supported as they navigate these big feelings.
With many families traveling and taking summer vacations, please kindly remember to notify administration and/or myself if your child will be absent from school. We truly appreciate the communication.
Observing and supporting your child’s infant development to the very best of my abilities has been one of my biggest goals this year, and I have loved seeing all the growth your children have made. As one school year comes to an end, another exciting year awaits us, filled with even more laughter, babbles, discoveries, tiny steps, and yes, lots of spills too!
Thank you again for a beautiful school year filled with growth, trust, and partnership.

Butterfly
As we come to the end of the school year, I just want to say what a wonderful year it has been in our Butterfly classroom. It has been such a joy watching all of our little butterflies grow, learn, and blossom throughout the year. Seeing their independence, confidence, and personalities shine more and more each day has been so special.
A big congratulations to Aria, Logan, and Lincoln as they prepare to transition into Children’s House next year! We are going to miss them so much in toddlers, but we know they are more than ready forthis next step. It has been amazing watching how much they have grown this year, and we are so proud of them.
We are also so excited for Ms. Rebeca as she gets ready to welcome her new baby girl very soon! We cannot wait to meet the newest little addition to her family and celebrate this exciting time with her.
I also want to say thank you to all of our parents for your support, kindness, and patience with me during my first year as classroom lead. Your encouragement and trust truly meant so much to me. Thankyou for everything you do each day and for allowing us to be a part of your child’s growth and learning journey.
This year was filled with so many sweet memories, and I feel very lucky to have spent it with such an amazing group of children and families. I hope everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe summer!
With love,
Ms. Daisy & Ms. Rebeca 🩷
Hummingbird
Dear Hummingbird Familia,
As the school year comes to an end, we want to thank you for letting us share special moments of growth with you and your children. Some of our children will be moving up to the children’s house classrooms, and we want to wish them the warmest farewell. Some of the children will be staying for the summer session, and we will see them around in either the Squirrel or the Butterfly classroom.
This month, the children seemed to enjoy working on their Mother’s Day projects. Each child got the chance to help make a suncatcher. The suncatcher was made with flowers that each child hand-picked. You can hang them by the window and watch sunlight bring them to life. Tip: Keep them away from moisture to preserve their shape and clarity.
For food prep this month, the children practiced slicing strawberries, peeling mandarins, squeezing lemons for lemon water, and making yogurt bark. The yogurt bark is made by spreading yogurt evenly on a pan lined with parchment paper and sprinkling fresh fruit on top. Then we set it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight. We shared the pieces of yogurt bark during our afternoon community snack time.
We wish you and your family the best during your summer vacation. It truly is an honor to spend the weekdays with your precious children. We look forward to resting and coming back with renewed energy to discover all that is around us. We are so eager to see how much the children have grown over the summer break!
Warmly,
Ms. Kat and Ms. Lenni
Squirrel
Dear Squirrel Families,
As we come to the close of another wonderful school year, we want to sincerely thank you for being such an important part of our classroom community. This year has been filled with curiosity, growth, joy, and countless special moments. We’ve welcomed new friendships, celebrated milestones big and small, and had the privilege of watching each child grow in confidence, independence, and kindness. Seeing that transformation has been truly rewarding.
With the end of the year comes both celebration and transition. We are excited to welcome new families into our community while also cheering on our friends as they take their next steps into Children’s House. Every child’s Montessori journey is unique, and we are so proud of how far they’ve come. Thank you for the trust, support, and partnership you’ve shared with us throughout the year. Being part of your child’s growth is a gift we never take for granted.
For families joining us for the Summer Program, more information will be coming your way soon! As we prepare for summer adventures and begin refreshing our classrooms for the upcoming school year, all personal belongings will be sent home with each child—even those attending summer sessions. We’re looking forward to a season full of fun, discovery, and new memories together.
Warmly,
Ms. Morgan and Ms. Squirrel Team
