Rich was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. There he developed his love for all sports, competing in club baseball and club swimming through high school. He focused primarily on the sport of swimming in high school. Rich qualified and competed in many national level swim competitions including qualifying for the swimming Olympic trials in 2000.
Rich attended Arizona State University and swam for the ASU swim team. He graduated from ASU with a degree in Communications and Recreation Management. He later returned to ASU to pursue a degree in Physical Education. He worked as a PE teacher in the public school sector for 18 years. His time teaching PE was well appreciated, but has since retired from teaching PE to focus on his swim lesson business. Rich has loved spending his career working with children in guiding them to improve and challenge them selves through sport.
Rich is very excited to be a part of the Creo community. His son currently attends Creo in the lower elementary program. He looks forward to introduce various organized sports opportunities for grades 6-12. He believes through sport, children learn many valuable qualities about themselves to be set up for a successful school career as well as life beyond school.
