Mariana Abelson

Mariana Abelson, BSE, is a passionate educator, having founded and operated Creo School for over 10 years. She brings both a visionary and practical approach to guiding children. Her deep love of children shines through in the dedication she brings to school daily. With a “no job too big or small “ attitude she leads by example, demonstrating to students and staff alike what the Montessori philosophy is all about. 

Mariana, an industrial engineer by training and a clinical researcher by profession, brings a strong background in engineering, math and science. She loves systems, organizing and creating. She is fluent in English and Spanish. 

Born and Raised in Mexico and a graduate of Arizona State University, Mariana helped lead the ASU waterski team to a National Championship title in 2001. 

She found her love of education through raising her two teenage children who currently attend Creo Farm school. They are both competitive gymnasts and water-skiers with a deep love of learning.
