Mrs. Kat Nieves is honored to be the Lead Guide in the Hummingbird classroom! Before starting her Montessori journey, she graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a minor in child development. Afterward, Mrs. Kat and her husband moved to Arizona, where she then worked as a 911 operator in Phoenix for a couple of years.

Mrs. Kat and her family love to travel and explore the world. She has three daughters, one son, and a 10-year-old yellow lab. Her two youngest daughters are 5 and 4 and attend Creo. Her oldest daughter and son both attend high school. For the past 3 years, she was the assistant in the Hummingbird classroom, which was when her passion for Montessori toddler education grew. This past school year she graduated with her AMI 0-3 diploma while also acting as the Jr. Lead Guide. She had the opportunity to be mentored by a founding Creo Toddler Guide. She believes the training helped open her eyes in different ways while also helping her gain a deeper appreciation for toddlers and their families.
