Before starting her Montessori journey, she graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a minor in child development. Afterward, Mrs. Kat and her husband moved to Arizona, where she then worked as a 911 operator in Phoenix for a couple of years. Mrs. Kat and her family love to travel and explore the world. She has three daughters, one son, and an 11-year-old yellow lab. Her two youngest daughters are 6 and 5 and attend Creo. Her teenage daughter and son both attend high school.

During her 3 years as an assistant in the Hummingbird classroom, her passion for Montessori Toddler education grew. She was mentored by a founding Creo Toddler Guide and then went on to earn her AMI 0-3 diploma while also acting as the Jr. Lead Guide during the 2022-2023 school year. She believes the training helped develop more awareness to better support toddlers and their families. Mrs. Kat is grateful to learn alongside the toddlers and their families. She feels honored to be able to cherish the very special moments during your child’s years in the Toddler’s House.
