BLACK BEAR
Dear Black Bear Families,
What a wonderful month filled with learning and fun! The weather was perfect, with sunny days that made everything feel bright and lively. The garden bloomed with vibrant flowers, providing the perfect backdrop for all our biology lessons. We delved into the science of plants, pollination, and the environment, bringing the subjects to life right outside the classroom.
Our student teacher, Ms. Anna, brought a fresh dynamic to the classroom. Her creativity and enthusiasm inspired all the children, providing them with new opportunities for growth.
A visit to the farm was an exciting adventure, where the students learned about crops, and the importance of sustainable farming. The best part was returning with fresh produce and goodies, which made for a delicious and memorable experience.
The hard work and dedication of the students paid off during the sleepover, which was a huge success. It was filled with laughter, bonding, and an incredible sense of teamwork. As we prepare for the arrival of spring, the students are energized and ready for the next chapter of learning.
A big thanks to the parents for their continued support throughout the month—it truly makes all the difference!

COYOTE
Dear Coyote Families,
It’s hard to believe how quickly May has flown by! As we wrap up the school year, I find myself reflecting with joy and pride on all that your children have accomplished. This month has been filled with celebration, growth, and heartfelt moments.
One of the highlights was Show Me Night. What a special evening! It was a joy to watch the students proudly share their favorite lessons and lead you through their classroom and garden. Their confidence and enthusiasm were palpable, and it was clear how much it meant to them to welcome you into their learning space. Thank you for making the time to join us; your presence made the night truly meaningful.
We’ve also spent the last few weeks preparing to say a bittersweet goodbye to our third-year students. These incredible leaders have written thoughtful speeches, created beautiful self-portraits, and tackled impressive sewing and crocheting projects. Meanwhile, our first- and second-year students helped honor their friends by designing posters, making decorations, and preparing special treats. While we will miss our third years deeply, we’re excited to see all the amazing things that await them in Upper Elementary.
This month also brought the excitement of welcoming our Fly-Up students from Children’s House. During their shadow days, our first and second years partnered with these younger visitors: offering lessons, guiding them through routines, and warmly introducing them to the class. Watching our students step into leadership roles with such care and kindness was truly heartwarming.
As we close out the school year, I want to express my gratitude. It has been an absolute joy to join the Creo community and become part of the Coyote classroom. Thank you for your trust, support, and partnership. I’m so looking forward to returning next year and continuing to watch your children grow, learn, and shine.
Wishing you a wonderful start to summer,
Ms. Samantha & Ms. Evelyn

FALCON
Dear Falcon Families,
What an incredible year it has been! As we wrap up this final month of school, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful experiences we’ve shared together.
One of the most exciting additions to our classroom was the arrival of our new class pet! Thanks to the generous donation from Radical Reptile Fun, we now have a leopard gecko. The students enthusiastically named him Randall, and he quickly became a beloved member of our classroom community.
Our sixth-grade students recently completed their capstone projects, and their hard work truly shined. Each student wrote an in-depth research paper, created a detailed timeline and a physical model, and presented their findings using a thoughtfully designed poster board. Their presentations, shared with students and parents, were a testament to their growth and dedication.
Another highlight was our Greek Festival! Students proudly wore handmade traditional chitons and shared their knowledge on topics ranging from ancient Greek housing to gods and goddesses, theater, and more. Each student crafted a visual model and wrote a five-paragraph essay to accompany their presentation. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm and creativity on full display.
We closed out the month with our Art Walk, which was beautifully themed around ancient Greece and Egypt. Students showcased their talents through paintings, sketches, and pottery pieces. A huge thank you to our new art teacher, Mr. Jason, for his incredible work with the students and for putting together such a stunning event.
In science, Ms. Laura, our garden specialist, has been taking small groups of students to Agritopia Farms to explore botany in a hands-on environment. She also visited our classroom to teach students how to prepare artichokes in a Greek style—a delicious and educational experience!
To help students become more independent and organized, we’ve introduced the use of planners in the classroom. They’re learning to manage their time and responsibilities, which will serve them well next year and beyond.
Thank you all for your continued support throughout this fantastic school year. Your encouragement and involvement have helped make this year so memorable. Have a restful and joyful summer!
Warmly,
Ms. Emily and Ms. Carla

ROADRUNNER
Dear Roadrunner families,
As we wrap up the school year, May was filled with creativity, celebration, and community! The children had a special opportunity to work with Mr. Jason, exploring a variety of art mediums and techniques in connection with our final study of Ancient Greece. This hands-on experience culminated beautifully in our Art Walk event—thank you to all the parents who were able to visit us. It was wonderful to see and celebrate the wide variety in your children's creativity.
In addition to visual arts, the children explored theatrical expression, diving into famous Greek myths and some groups even attempted to write and perform their own plays in true Greek tradition. This immersive approach brought history to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
As we approached the end of the year, students enjoyed several community-building celebrations, including the creation of a classroom cookbook, signing yearbooks, and a joyful water slide day. The sixth-year students concluded their Capstone projects and proudly presented their work to the community, while the younger children honored them with heartfelt gifts and good wishes as they move on to their next adventure.
We also spent time making thoughtful parent gifts—sugar scrubs and fresh salsa—to thank you for all your support and to mark the close of a beautiful year together.
Ms. Laura took groups to Agritopia as a final follow-up to some of our botany studies, and we continued with core lessons and research while emphasizing kindness, connection, and reflection.
It’s hard to believe the year has come to an end. Watching your children grow, develop, and explore has been a true joy. We wish you all a restful, adventurous, and joyful summer!
Sincerely,
Ms. Lauren and Ms. Juany
