Peek Inside our Children’s House Community
Dear Bobcat Families,
Spring has truly sprung in our classroom! The children are buzzing with excitement as we explore the wonders of nature's reawakening. Our focus has been on observing the fascinating transformations happening right before our eyes, from tiny caterpillars to busy bees.
Springtime Discoveries:
Nature Walks and Caterpillar Observations:
Our nature walks have become adventures in discovery! We've been carefully observing the budding trees and the emerging insects.
The children are thrilled to observe caterpillars on our museum table!
Using magnifying glasses, we've been closely examining the caterpillars, noting their size, color, and behavior. We've discussed the stages of the butterfly life cycle.
We have been careful to help the children understand to observe without disturbing the creatures, and to treat them with respect.
The Orange Tree and Busy Bees:
Our classroom orange tree is blooming, and it's a hive of activity!
The children have been fascinated by the bees visiting the orange blossoms, diligently collecting nectar and pollen.
We've discussed the important role of bees in pollination, explaining how they help the orange tree produce fruit.
We have discussed the importance of bees to our food chain.
Parent Involvement:
Take your children on nature walks and encourage them to observe the insects and plants around them.
Discuss the importance of bees and butterflies in our ecosystem.
If you have an orange tree or other flowering plants at home, observe the bees together.
A Note from the Teachers:
We are delighted to witness the children's growing appreciation for the natural world. Spring is a time of wonder and discovery, and we are grateful to share these magical moments with your children.
Thank you,
Ms. Hany and Ms. Evelyn

Dear Cactus Wren Families,
Happy Spring to you all, I hope everyone had a great break! It has been an exciting month in the class, as the children observe the transition from winter to spring; leaves emerging, insects in the garden, and warmer weather.
As the temperature begins to rise, we have been learning about different climates around the world, and the people, animals, and plants that live in them. It is amazing to observe their keen interest and curiosity of the world around them!
The baking recipe of this month is blueberry muffins and the children love it. Even though this recipe requires a lot of time and follows a long sequence of steps, the children are so excited every time Ms. Roxanne invite them to bake. This is the recipe in case you want to try it at home.
Blueberry muffins
Ingredients;
1 1⁄2 cups flour
1⁄2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
3⁄4 cup milk
1⁄4 cup oil
1 cup frozen blueberries
Directions:
• Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
•Mix in milk and oil.
•Gently fold in blueberries.
•Pour into paper cups in a muffin pan and bake at 350°degrees for 25- 30 minutes.
Thank you, families, for all your support and we deeply appreciate all that you do. We are excited for the next months ahead.
Warmly,
Joselyne and Roxanne

Dear Gray Fox Families,
Hello Gray Fox families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! Although it has been a short month together, we’ve made the most of our time and introduced some new and exciting things into the classroom!
This month, we welcomed a special addition to our environment—caterpillars! The children are fascinated by observing them closely as we learn about the life cycle of butterflies. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be caring for the caterpillars, watching as they transform into chrysalises, and finally emerge as beautiful butterflies. This hands-on experience has sparked so much curiosity and wonder, giving the children the opportunity to witness the magic of nature right before their eyes. Along the way, we’ve been learning about the different stages of the butterfly life cycle and the importance of caring for living things.
In addition to our classroom activities, I’d like to thank our wonderful parent coordinators for helping facilitate our final Gray Fox social of the year. It’s always such a joy to see the children socialize and play outside of school hours, sharing their personalities and friendships beyond the classroom.
As we move into the final weeks of the school year, I encourage you to refrain from talking too much about the year coming to an end. Young children understand time differently, and keeping them focused on their daily activities helps them stay motivated and engaged in their learning journey right up until the last day.
I also want to take a moment to thank each family for your support and for being so amazing. I have loved sharing my observations and shared love of your children with each of you during our conferences. I am truly honored to get to guide each and every one of your children, whom I love so deeply.
Warmly,
Ms. Rama amd Ms. Rocio

Hello Jackrabbit Families,
We hope you all had a restful and fun spring break and enjoyed some extra time with your family!
How lucky are we to experience this beautiful weathering Arizona!? Our classroom doors have been wide open all day, allowing the children to move naturally between the indoor and outdoor environments. It’s easy to spot a child painting at the easel, practicing yoga, scrubbing the sidewalk, watering the garden, filling the bird feeder, washing clothes, sweeping leaves, taking a nature walk, and so much more.
The children have been taking such great care of our garden! Each day, they eagerly observe whether the tomatoes are ripe and check on the growth of the snap peas, carrots, eggplants, Brussels sprouts, and strawberries.
