December 2024
Peek Inside our Children’s House Community
Dear Bobcat Parents,
As the weather turns crisp and the days grow shorter, the spirit of the season fills our hearts. December is a time for cozy gatherings with loved ones, reflecting on the year gone by and looking forward to the joys that await.
In the Bobcat classroom, we are exploring these themes through various activities. We are talking about the winter season, its unique characteristics, and how animals adapt to the cold. We are also focusing on the importance of consideration and giving, as we celebrate the holidays with our families and communities. Through hands-on activities like preparing holiday crafts for loved ones, we encourage our children to develop a sense of empathy and generosity.
Thank you for attending our Social! We had a pleasant time together. The children had a blast! Thank you to our parent coordinator team (Leigh, Lisa, Lynn Marie, Lynsey, and Rachel) who made our social a magic night.
Please remember that the shorter days of winter can make children feel a bit more tired. Encourage them to get plenty of rest!
I invite you to join us in embracing the spirit of the season and creating meaningful memories with your children.
Warmly,
Ms. Hany and Ms. Roxana

Dear Cactus Wren Families,
Happy December to everyone! The Fall semester is ending, and it has been amazing to share these past months with you. This past month the children have been working hard in the class, and it has been amazing to see their progress over the past semester!
I would like to share with you our favorite song during this last month so you can sing with your children at home. “Copo de nieve” by super simple español.
Thank you families, for an amazing fall semester and for everything that you do. Your support is deeply appreciated! We hope everyone has a peaceful and restful break and we wish you all happiness and health in the new year. Happy Holidays Cactus Wren Families!
Warmly,
Joselyne and Roxanne

Dear Gray Fox Families,
As the holiday season envelops us in its warmth, I hope this newsletter finds you well. December is a special time filled with opportunities to celebrate, reflect, and embrace the joy of togetherness. Let’s take a closer look at what’s happening in our classroom this month.
🎉Welcoming Our Transition Friends
This month, we are delighted to welcome new transition friends from the toddler classrooms! Their enthusiasm has brought new energy to our group, and it’s inspiring to see how even our younger students have become role models, helping their new peers settle in. The spirit of teamwork and kindness continues to shine brightly in our classroom.
🍎Healthy Choices During the Holidays
December is synonymous with holiday treats and festive feasts, but it’s also an excellent time to practice balance. This month, we worked on understanding the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods through hands-on sorting activities at our museum table. These lessons encourage our little ones to make mindful food choices while still enjoying the season’s indulgences.
Celebrating Family Traditions
The holidays bring families together in meaningful ways, whether through Hanukkah, Christmas, or other cherished celebrations. These gatherings foster love, laughter, and memories that last a lifetime. We encourage you to share stories of your family traditions with your children to deepen their appreciation of this magical season.
🧣Winter Wear Reminders
As the temperatures continue to drop, we kindly remind you to dress your children in warm, cozy winter clothing. Please label all items with your child’s name to ensure they make their way back home safely. Proper winter gear helps keep everyone comfortable and ready for the day’s adventures.
✨Season’s Greetings
As we wrap up the year, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes to you and your families. May this holiday season be filled with warmth, joy, and treasured moments. Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our wonderful Gray Fox community.
From all of us at Creo, havea safe and happy holiday season! ❄
Warmly,
Ms. Rama and Ms. Rocio

Hello Jackrabbit Families,
What a wonderful year the Jackrabbit classroom is having! It is easy to see the children encouraging and inspiring each other. They are so kind and warm to each other and to the teachers around them. They have built this community day by day and it is such a pleasure to witness this day by day. Kindness is often observed also during recess time, when the children are welcoming their new peers by inviting them to play and showing them games.
Thank you for attending the winter social. It was lovely to see you there as well as watching the children’s big smiles as they share a bite and had fun running around with their classmates. Thank you for bringing delicious food. Our next Social will be held in the spring.
During this winter season, the children were excited to make popcorn. We learned about corn stalks and carefully removed each kernel off the cob and placed them inside a paper bag to proceed to heat it up and hear it pop…and of course taste it!
We are thankful for all the learning experiences that 2024 will leave behind for each and one of us and we are looking forward to the New Year. We wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2025!
With much love and gratitude,
Ms. Yadira and Ms. Karen
