Adolescents coming Fall 2020
The Adolescent Program
The Adolescent student, in their middle-school and high school years, will make great cognitive leaps, supporting their deep-rooted foundation in Montessori Education, into further advanced academics including sciences, mathematics, language arts, practical management, fine arts, and farming. Creo’s bilingual Adolescent program will involve hands-on learning accompanying their scholastic learning emphasizing zoology and agricultural studies. Adolescent students will learn how to create and sustain a working micro-economy. This will instill responsibility as well as present opportunities to take the knowledge that students gain in the classroom by applying it in the environment around them.
As respected community members, it is important for each student to learn to do their part and contribute in a way that earns trust and companionship of their peers. Therefore, Creo Adolescent students will work cohesively to overcome obstacles, learn from each other, and drive to meet common goals while expressing individuality. Our students may start small businesses, design inventions and file patents, develop software programs, or performances through play write, designing their own costumes and scenes, casting roles and acting.
‘Going-outs’ will also pose integral education experiences for our learners, with organized tours of manufacturing plants, museum visits, hiking adventures, geological based science experiments, as well as local, national, and international community service initiatives.
The Creo Farm campus is also strategically located near Gilbert/Chandler Community College. Once our program reaches High School, students will be able to take college classes to complete undergraduate credits prior to graduation. With transportation services back and forth, High School students will be supported, gaining a head start in their fields of interest with counsel from our highly qualified educators.
As dedicated community members, our Adolescent students will continue to share their joy of learning as they thrive into their teenage years and beyond, in what will build their groundwork for lifelong relationships with other global citizens and the sustainability of our world.
