Hello Gray Fox Families! Welcome to the 2015-2016 Academic School Year!
We are eager to see all of your bright smiling faces on Monday morning - we have missed the children immeasurably. On Thursday afternoon, we had the pleasure of meeting our four new students. We are looking forward to introducing them to our returning group.
In addition, we have made a few minor aesthetic changes and additions to the environment to better serve the children. We have several new beautiful plants to care for, more fish and snails. Sam, our finch, will be welcomed back with the children on Monday after happily spending the summer with a student. The practical life area and snack table were rearranged and some of our furniture pieces were painted!
It will be lovely to see the returning children transition into their new roles as 'second and third years'. The three year cycle is a true treasure for the child's journey of humble self-fulfillment. Dr. Montessori observed the importance of connected construction as a key to a love of learning and inclusive acceptance. Through the work and relationships the child's character is transformed.
