Dear Gray Fox Families,
2015, what a wonderful year you have been!! The growth that each child continues to display is miraculous. It is truly incredible to watch the children develop concentration that doesn't quit and maintain a peaceful learning environment, even with all of the external holiday hype outside our walls. We have spent time discussing various holidays from a global cultural viewpoint. We have read stories about children around the world and sang songs pertaining to the different holidays. One of our favorite grace and courtesy lessons this week was learning how to give and receive. We practiced the act of kindness when giving a gift, and how to receive a gift by expressing gratitude. We also discussed gifts that we can give all year and how a gift can be considered something as simple as helping a friend or telling our loved ones how special they are to us.
It was a pleasure to celebrate two fourth birthdays this week!
We sure hope you enjoyed your child's wind chime. They are all worked so hard on them and were excited to have gathered materials to make them with during our nature walks. The children have also been making some delicious homegrown salads with ingredients fresh from our garden. We are excited to welcome Ms. Leydi into our environment in January. She will be a wonderful addition to our group.
Wishing you love, peace and warmth this holiday season! See you in 2016!
-Ms. Lauren and Ms. Dinora
